Pit Take BBQ

Came to pick up our order and they didn't put silverware in the bag. Even though I'm picking up, restaurants tend to gladly do that. Since we had wanted to go sit somewhere else and eat, we headed back home instead. Even though our house was right down the road, the food wasn't close to hot. It was good though, I can't lie about that. The ribs were slightly dry, but probably because they weren't hot anymore. The coleslaw was very delicious. The Mac N' Cheese tasted nice and smoky. The plate of food was only half of what we ordered from the family meal, so I feel it was worth the price. One thing that bothered me the most was the woman at the counter. She kept staring at me, no smile or expression on her face which made me feel uncomfortable, especially since she didn't say much when we ordered. That's one reason we didn't stay and eat. That along with the fact we would have been the only one's in the dining room and given how small it is, they would likely hear everything we'd say.

Told order would be ready at 5:20. Had it in the car at 5:19, on the table at 5:24. It was already tepid. We got the $37 family meal, and it is enough to feed 3 adults somewhat comfortably (that's 12.33 per person). Regular corn bread was okay. The jalapeno corn bread tasted like sanitizer. Ribs were tasty, brisket and pork were okay but dry, and portions were small for a family meal. Somewhat tasty, but tepid and overpriced. If you get take out, get extra sauce and use your microwave. I feel it was worth $9 a person, my wife says $7.

The Mac and cheese was ok. Cole slaw was good not great. Meat was totally inedible threw 30 dollars worth of food in the trash. Fatty grizzly and foul. Will never go there again. Horrible terrible disgusting what a complete waste. Glad I stopped at shop n save on my way home and bought a sub or I would be hungry too

First time to stop here. Extensive menu for bbq items. Tried the brisket tips. Done with a dry rub. Very tender. Several sauces on the side available. I will be back.

Food was good but it was slightly cold and the portion of bbq pork was very small. It said 1/4 lb on the menu but was a tiny pile inside the box. The Mac and cheese was delicious and so was the jalapeno cornbread
