Rochester Smokehouse & Barbecue

Spent $35 on a underwhelming plate of lamb on the rod. Expectations run high for a plate at that price and I was immediately disappointed when I saw it, at least it tasted good but was extremely overpriced considering what was presented. I felt ripped off as soon as I saw it. You can capitalize TWO SKEWER if you want in your response , that 2nd skewer definitely isn’t worth an extra $15. It would be a stretch to ask $20 for the two skewer plate. The experience was even more shocking when my family finished and had to dump our plates in the trash and place them in a bin. I wouldn’t be as mad if I didn’t tip the staff $10 for nothing and also if I didn’t just watch them take another customers plate after they finished. We were the only other group so it wasn’t that the staff was busy, I just wasn’t worth their time. It’s a shame that I looked forward to trying the place and chose to have birthday dinner there. It’s definitely a one and done experience, I won’t even order catering now. The owners response definitely doesn’t do him any favors, especially the part about “my decisions .” Clearly the most regrettable decision was walking through your door which is a decision I won’t make twice. One star ratings are earned and are given way less than five star ratings whenever people do decide to rate businesses.

I was quite mad at the time I logged on today to take it down but then I saw your response And it makes me feel validated. The staff should be trained as to how to answer the phone. I asked if I could get food to go and was told NO! Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication from your staff you decided to attack a potential customer. I must admit I still do not understand what HOT food has to do with a phone order. You could take the order over the phone and then package it when I arrive this way it would still be HOT. I am sure your food is great. I will sadly never know. Because the effort towards customer service is lacking. Good Luck.

Amazing food! Best bbq in the Pittsburgh area and it's not even close! Loved the cornbread casserole and pulled pork!

Good food, very clean, tables far away from each other, good prices.

Ordered Pulled Pork and Mac and Cheese for my son's graduation party. I had so many compliments on the food! It was the best! Additionally they loaned us serving stations and utensils. Super nice and responsive! Would recommend Rochester Smokehouse for any party or gathering! Thank you for helping to make our party amazing!
