Spangler’s Spring is an area that was occupied by both the Union and Confederate Armies during the Battle of Gettysburg. There are many stories of soldiers from both armies using the springs for water during the battle. Most of the action around the Spring took place on the evening of July 2nd and morning of July 3rd 1863.

At Gettysburg Battleground State Park. Sobering and poignant place all Americans should visit.

This was a very interesting moment, we were wondering what they did for water. The battle was very warm when we were talking to a ranger.
