My husband took me and my best friend here to celebrate our birthdays. Mine was Jan. 16 and my friends is Feb. 8. We were both born in 1947. Our evening at Salem Cross Inn was delightful! We started with hot tea toddler with brandy and lemon while we looked over the menu. We then ordered Crisp Bacon-wrapped Scallops and a bottle of Merlot, while my husband had a Manhattan. The scallops were excellent, cooked to perfection and very fresh. They were served with delicious fresh baked warm pumpkin muffins. We all ordered Prime Rib, mine rare and the other 2 med. rare. Again, they came out cooked exactly the way we ordered, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and butternut squash. Delicious!! Our waitress was so pleasant throughout our visit. Could not have asked for better Birthday dinners. We were seated facing the open hearth fire and watched our Prime Rib roasting on the spit. We will definitely return and look forward to attending some of the special dinners Salem Cross Inn puts on. Definitely a 5 star dinner!!!

I believe her name was “Cindy” the hostess... YIKES. That’s the way to greet customers if you DO NOT want them to return. Our waitress was wonderful, food was good, but Cindy/hostess was a rotten way to start our meal out.

The venue was beautiful. I went for a wedding during the pandemic and they did the best they could. The wedding itself couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect... However, we all could have done without being reminded almost hourly from the staff that we're in a pandemic and need to follow the rules.... The same rules we've all pretty much gotten accustomed to and don't really need reminding, especially during an event such as a wedding. Kind of dampened the atmosphere. Luckily I have the best family ever and we always find fun!! The wait staff wasn't very nice either with the exception to one woman who was absolutely wonderful. I wish I got her name to add to me review but she was the only one who was acting like she was actually happy to serve us. The rest of them couldn't clear our tables fast enough. One literally took my water glass while I was still drinking it!! But congratulations to my beautiful new cousin Mary and her amazing husband Matt , I love u both ❤ufe0f❤ufe0f❤ufe0fud83cudf8aud83cudf8aud83cudf8a

I can't thank the staff enough for the extraordinary service, exceptional food and ambiance for our event. It's a beautiful location and Donna and Nancy make sure you enjoy their establishment. The entire staff are efficient and kind. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were attended to in every possible way. Food, environment, service and price make it a premium place.

The last time me and the Mrs were there, it was just before the Covid shutdown in March. It was my Birthday. It was a happy time. Thanks Bo for all you do.
