He tried to negate the written contract by threatening to put a lean on my house even though the contract stated upon completion of the job. He didn't complete the job when he tried to walk off of the job because he wanted payment. There were multiple issuesn... not scraping properly, leaving his workers for weeks without supervision trying to change what he verbally agreed to do.
They did not scrape my house good enough. Also, he told me that he would do the floor of my porch when he painted. Because he wasn’t here for the majority of the time when he had his 2 workers working on my house, it’s taking longer than he anticipated. He negated on what he verbally told us. Make sure you get every detail of what you want painted in the contract because he’s cheap & will ask for more money. Though we paid him $12k. Apparently that’s not enough. I would like to add that he again tried to change the contract to his advantage. He was demanding full payment of the second payment prior to the completion of the job. He demanded that we pay him, then took his materials threatening to put a lean on my house, when all we wanted for him was to finish the paint job that he promised. My boyfriend had to pay him most of the last payment, though it took him another 5.5 hours to finish the following day. He did not scrape the roof to my porch. He just painted over it. He was so rude and pompous to me trying to be aggressive and pushy, then he had the nerve to ask us for more work. He will never be welcomed back. I strongly advise against anyone ever going with his company. My boyfriend agreed that he seemed chauvinist.
