The Goddard School of Auburn

I felt compelled to write a review after seeing some of the negative reviews as I respectfully disagree. My son has been attending this school since he was 6 months old and just turned 2. First off, my friends and family half jokingly call me a helicopter parent. My sons safety and well being comes before anything else and I am very critical of any shortcomings of anyone that comes into contact with him. With that said, my wife and I are extremely happy with The Goddard School in Auburn.nnThey are collaborative and very helpful. They will work with you if you show that you want the help and ask for them to openly and proactively communicate with you.nnI believe it is up to a parent to create a positive relationship with the facility and teachers, and work together to provide the best care for your child. Yes, I agree that at different points throughout your child's life you will encounter teachers or administrators that you don't click with.nHowever, I would definitely recommend this facility as a whole to anyone that is need of quality and professional child care.nnGo check it out, visit, walk through, and sit with the current kids and staff to get a feel for the atmosphere. That is what we did and it is why we chose them in the first place.nnI can confidently say that they have helped us raise our son and the result has been outstanding.

My daughter did absolutely wonderful here. Her teachers were so kind and caring. The staff went out of their way to make my life easier on many occasions. The level of communication was also outstanding.

This is neither a day care nor a preschool nor a kindergarten. No care, no love, no academics! Our kid used to go to preschool very happy and is a very happy child in general until he came here. He is back to being a very happy kid now and won't stop talking about his new school. Parents, PLEASE see what happens in classrooms and don't believe on all those Fancy reports! Check who goes to the classrooms after 12pm, talk to them and see how they talk to kids. What language they use to make your kids be quiet, they even do it in front of parent(s) as they're obviously don't know how to deal with kids. To those considering this school, this is the only place I have heard of where the only recess is at 8:45am. This is the only place I have seen where there exists no incentive what so ever for good work or behavior. This is the only place I have seen where kids are punished at a corner even if another parent comes for a pickup, and in front of the schoolmates. This is the only place I have seen a child BEG multiple times to join story time cause it's his favorite story, yet teacher keep saying 'NO!' and keep letting him in a corner. Please parents do your kids a favor and ask them how they did, if they don't tell you much, keep asking in a way to get them to talk cause you will at some point hear something that will hurt your ears. And if you do, please believe that your child is telling you the truth!

My son has been going there since march in the purple cow room and he loves it! The social experience is great for him , they have helped him with his speech delay and over come social anxiety. The teachers communicated with me daily and did not mind my constant calling! Management was welcoming and greats my self and my son with a smile no matter how busy they are. Our daughter has been a Goddard Auburn from age 6 months to 3 years. We recently left due to transportation/logistics and we were crushed to leave. Every teacher in the program was phenomenal. It is clear they all care for the kids deeply. Our daughter looked forward to going to school at Goddard every day. She was surrounded by friends and family there and we will miss it greatly.
