Overall great climbing but I find it odd that Farley is here on Google Maps but not Mount Project
Great climbing with easy approaches
Stopped here randomly on my way home from a work engagement in Greenfield. I wanted to get out and walk, and I'm not normally out this way. What a pleasant surprise for a random pick out of the hat. The parking area was smallish, and quite crowded with a large climbing group on a Saturday morning, but once I got away from the ledges I didn't see any other folks on the trail.nThe main ledge area had a number of folks climbing, but there was still room to explore a bit. The red marked trail that circumnavigates the ledges and Rattlesnake Mountain was well blazed, but doesn't seem to get significant foot traffic, so you need to pay attention to follow the trail in spots.
I brought my lawn chair and bi-noculars to watch the youngster mountaineers do the rock scaling. Just me, some cherry coke, a bag of cheese puffs, and a bunch of whippersnappers, all fit as fiddles, having a grand ol' time.
Local gneiss crag, plenty for hard men and noobs. Parking has become an issue recently. Don't be that guy that parks on Rt 2, and don't block the entrance if the primary lot is full!
