Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Amazing wildlife! You can drop by one of the many prairie dog towns at any time and you are basically guaranteed to see dozens of prairie dogs actively roaming around and hear their loud squeaks. We also saw herds of bison and wild horses on the side of the road and even some on the hiking trails!

I cannot describe how gorgeous and breath taking the Badlands are... No pictures do this place justice.... You definitely need to come experience the beauty and the feel of freedom yourself!!!!

Very pretty National Park. There is a north unit and a south unit and we visited both. I would suggest both, but if you only have time for one then do the north unit. We saw wild horses and amazing badlands. The cabin Roosevelt stayed in before he became President was called “The Maltese Cross Cabin”. It is located at the visitor center at the South Unit.

Compared to other National Parks, this one just doesn't meet the standard. Not a whole lot to see or do that isn't just meh. Seen it, won't be back.

What a beautiful underrated place! we camped out here in the offseason so if there are ever crowds we didnt any. Great place to see bison! We were also able to see wild horses, elk, and bighorn sheep. I've only ever seen Dall sheep in the wild so it was pretty cool to see! Also prairie dogs abound! so cool to see their massive towns and their personalities. One other aspect I like is that there were a lot of little hikes I like a lot of little hikes sometimes to see a little more vistas.
