My favorite stop on my annual montana trip.nMy family and grandkids have enjoyed this tradition since the '80s. I have a wonderful collection of one of a kind Montana sapphires. Set several pieces in jewelry. Great Place. GREAT STAFF. UNIQUE ADVENTURE°

I loved spending the day here! Every time you found a sapphire you get a hit of serotonin lol the staff here were very pleasant and they all knew what they were talking about. I was able to get about 48 ctw of sapphires and sent them off to be fired and cut. I’m excited to see the final product. They also promised me that any of my stones that were not perfect would be replaced with one of their own. And if I lose a stone, they will replace it (I will have to be fact-checked on that one, but I think it’s what I heard). Super great place!! Will definitely be going back!

Great place to spend outdoors with the family! The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice, especially with the kids. We had 6 family members and did the Lucky 7 - took about 2 hours and found 40-60 sapphires. Most were small, but definitely had a few that were in the 1-3 carat range. Without hesitation, they accommodated our need for a shaded area and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were doing ok and having fun!nnAlso, they practiced social distancing, limited the number of people allowed in their indoor shop at the same time, and required hand sanitizer before entering.nnWe'll definitely be going back next time we're in Montana.

This was fun! My smaller kids were quickly bored, as they warned us. But we had fun searching through. We got at least 30 out of 2 buckets, and mined with great people.

It was great to be back and sift for gems again. It was busier than I thought it would be, even with the reservation requirement. They aren't doing the Megajugs anymore so 7 buckets, if you opt for the Lucky Seven, takes a while. It's the most economical but it keeps people there longer and there were several larger groups which was not great for social distancing. Also, if it's as busy as it was for us, don't plan on getting your sapphires evaluated quickly... they had 3 people up before us and it was going to take about an hour or more before they would get to us. Takes 20-30 minutes per evaluation. We decided to take them with us for another time or take to another place. Never had to walk away without an evaluation before. For now, we'll just place it all in a clear box and admire them naturally along with the 10 years of accumulated rough sapphires we have.
