Malad Summit Campground

Far apart camps in the thick of the forest provide peace and tranquility. A nice creek runs through the campground supplying some truly wonderful babbling sounds throughout camp. You can reserve a site on the .gov site and be sure to check out the cow field trail nearby! head out on the main road by foot and make a left instead of a right to leave, there's an awesome trailhead!

Our trailer is 30ft and would not fit. Make sure you check it out before you go to make sure your RV will fit. The trailer spots run perpendicular to the road making it very hard to get your trailer in. Would be a lot better if they were at an angle.

Very secluded campground. We stayed at campsite no. 3. The camp host , Jeff, was very welcoming and helpful. The vault toilet was kept in great condition, and actually smelled quite nice! There is a lovely stream flowing through the campground, and although overgrown, it provided a very pleasant ambiance. There are also spickets for water. You will also need to pack out all of your trash, as there isn't anywhere to leave it.
