Costa Vida

We were running late for a movie and needed to eat quickly. Personal best for ordering and eating. 9:27 seconds. I don't recommend this pace for eating unless absolutely necessary.

Had dinner there tonight, what used to be our favorite restaurant, as we are “enjoying“ a good time after work, my husband bites into something hard and spits it onto his hand after closer inspection we found it to be somebody’s back piece of an earring. I had a hard time keeping down what I had eaten, placed it on a napkin and took it to the cashier, a weak apology was offered. We left the place not wanting to make the other patrons become upset. I verily made it home.

My wife and I went today and waited approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The line wasn’t huge. We got to ordering and noticed all the tortillas were burnt. My wife ordered nachos and didn’t ask what kind of meat she wanted and then proceeded to put a tiny amount of the meat they decided she wanted on it. The manager and other workers were not wearing masks or gloves. They had no manors and were extremely slow. After they they made the nachos we walked out because they weren’t what we had even wanted to order and they gave us dirty looks like we were in the wrong. Mind you we never said a word except we would like nachos. Never will go back.

Food is good, but the service is terrible! When I got there I had 4 people in front of me and I was there for an hour. There was one girl that was constantly yelling at the kid that was the cashier and I just felt so bad for him. She had a terrible attitude and I really just wanted to say something to her. The cashier had had it but he continued to smile and asked me how my day was. Costa Vida is not the same since Nancy left. They have my favorite rice in town, but more than likely, I will not be back. I’ll find somewhere else with tension and hostility between coworkers. That was unacceptable for her to treat him that way, especially in front of customers. Also, what happened to tortillas being round?

It’s all right. I’m not sure which one I like better—Cafe Rio or Costa Vida. I actually like Bajio the best, but there’s no more here in east Idaho. This Costa Vida is bigger than the Idaho Falls one, which I like. The people working here were extremely slow. And they put a ridiculously tiny amount of pork on our pork salads.
