Bear Trap Airport-1u0

1U0 is a fun strip to fly to. It's over 2,500 feet long but has very deep ruts in its middle from a Jeep or ATV. Pilots are advised to land on the north side of the ruts. The middle of the runway has a pronounced hump. The runway is in decent condition but it's moderately bumpy if your plane has solid landing gear. The windsock may not always be in place as it gets frayed and tattered. Bear Trap Cave is a short walk from the strip and otherwise there's nothing for miles in any direction by foot, but American Falls and Burley airports are short flights from here.

Great out of the way place to hike fly/drive. Cool and quiet cave (lava tube) a short walk from here.
