We came in June 2020. Great experience! Get there early (20-30 mins before opening) to get your pick of tour times. Lots of stairs up and back! Well worth it.

Minnetonka cave is beautiful, it is short enough that you can bring the whole family but long enough that all ages will enjoy it.nnThis is a guided tour so you're learning the history of the cave. this cave is considered a living cave and is still growing. It even has fluorescent minerals if you bring a black light flashlight, hopefully your guide shows you this amazing effect.nnOne of the rocks in the cave has allowed researchers and scientists to get a good idea on how long ago our last mega quake was in the Rocky mountains.nnIt is worthy of it's entrance fee, and yes the cave is open during this Covid-19 outbreak, as long as you are willing to wear a mask through the tour.nnI highly recommend you come to enjoy the sights and history of this place, and to imagine the wonder it may hold for future generations to come.

This place is really cool, take the time to stop and take a tour. I have gone 2 or 3 times and always enjoy it!

I had absolutely no idea this place even existed. We were up at Bear Lake looking for something to do and stumbled across this gym. What a fantastic experience. Walk through the center of the earth listen to the stories about its creation and how it was stumbled upon and discovered. If you get a chance I would say definitely put this on your to-do list.

Guides are very knowledgeable and careful. Lots of cool history about the cave. Has some really cool formations. Be prepared to hike a bit. There are 444 steps that you will be going up and down to reach the most inner part of the cave. That means another 444 coming back out. Some of the staircases are very steep and long. The cave has many drips so it can be wet and slippery as well, but as long as you are holding the rails you should be fine. There is a small walk on a boardwalk to get to the actual cave from the parking lot. It is also very cold (40 degrees F year round) so bring a good jacket. We have been multiple times and loved it each time.
