In todays vernacular I think these would be called 'road salt storage sheds'.
Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend you ride or drive thru the Colorado National Monument.
What a unique place. Nature can do wonders. How this formation was formed is beyond me but it is sure a sight behold. Be sure to read the information boards to learn more about this place and enjoy!
This place is beautiful. There is a small trail you can follow down the hill a little further to get a better view or you can stay at the top. The sky looks amazing at certain times of the day. It's worth the trip. I can't wait to see it in the spring.
