Mesa County Fairgrounds Arboretum

I went for the drive through covid testing. Everything went fairly fast. The one thing that was not pleasant was the nostril collection device.

The staff, made this simple fast and painless, in a very stressful situation.

Really cool place well set up with a nice path and benches , lots of signs telling what the plants are, nice big parking lot

The 1st Grand Valley Scottish Games and Celtic Festival was held here, May 18-19, 2019. I was there as a vendor for Lalus Stained and Fused Glass. The fairgrounds have some camping spots you can reserve for $ which makes it convenient if your here for an event. We stayed here for the festival and the site has electricity and water, no sewer. The facility to get is great for horse events and the fields are really lovely.

Used to be beautiful and well taken care of. Recently much neglected, turning into another GJ weed patch. Also the Ute learning garden and the planting of the 3 sisters (corn, squash and beans) is not what it was like in 2011 and a few more years later. So sad!
