Normally I love this place and the classes but the sculpt I went to yesterday at 5:15 was too much. If I was a first timer to sculpt I would have no clue what the instructor was telling us to do - just saying 'pull pivot' means nothing to someone who may be trying for the first time. In the beginning of class we were encouraged to modify each pose for what felt right to our bodies but then we were made to fee bad/lazy for not being able to do certain moves. Overall way too intense, felt more like a bootcamp class than yoga sculpt. Just a warning to those that may be newer in their fitness journeys.

I've been practicing at the Core Power Highlands Ranch studio since it opened in 2010 and love the studio! The instructors fill the studio with their unique positive energy and I feel that I learn something new each time I go. The community is warm and welcoming and I always leave feeling much better than when I came - physically, mentally, and emotionally! I also like the diversity of classes from yoga sculpt, barre class, to the C2 and Hot Yoga classes. I love the intensity of heat - very detoxifying!

I have been to several yoga studios before, and this was far and away the worst experience I’ve ever had at any place. While I have been to yoga before, I went with a friend who was trying it for the first time. We went to a class that was supposed to be a workshop, where they go slowly and break down the postures for you, rather than starting with the full paced class. Unfortunately, this workshop was extraordinarily disappointing. The instructor spoke at break-neck speeds and did not take the time to show a single modification for any of the poses, nor did he take time to even show us the traditional pose in any detail. He would just RUN through the poses, and not give any demonstration of what that pose actually was. Not only was it ridiculously fast paced, the instructor used a lot of jargon that made no sense unless you already had yoga experience. This was extremely discouraging, as this was supposed to be a Yoga 101 class (it was even called 101 in the title!). So, this place is not for beginners, nor is it for anyone who likes to have a meditative yoga experience with knowledgeable and empathetic teachers.nnTL;DR: Way to fast paced, extremely bad teaching, might be okay for people with yoga experience, but if you’re a beginner, choose anywhere else!!!! Would not recommend to anyone in my life ever.

Core Power Yoga is a great place! There are many different teachers and many different classes to choose from at all times of the day to fit your schedule. It is challenging at every level of yoga, whether you are a beginner or advanced. The teachers are always helpful and encouraging. I love it!!
