Mollie Stone's Markets

The grocery shop gets five stars for its beautiful layout, it has spacious aisles and does a really nice job of merchandising items so that it feels more like a fun experience versus just running errands.nIt also has a good selection of baseline vegan and gluten-free products throughout all of the aisles.nIt doesn’t have the level of specialty items as say a Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco but if you’re looking to just stock the shelves with your standard items, you will find them here.nnThe shop unfortunately does not get high stars when it comes to price; the prices are a fair bit higher than other shops, from Rainbow Grocery to Whole Foods Market to local coops.

Very clean and well stocked. Fruits and vegetables seem to be very fresh. Nice meat department.

Gluten free choices galore. Quality products and produce that cost just a little more but knowing they will consistently exceed expectations makes it worth it. I am rarely if ever disappointed and if I am it’s because they are temp out of something.

The best thing about this so-so store was the card selection and now that is also going down, taking off one more star.nn—-nPrevious review:nEverything is marked up about $2 compared to Safeway and $3 compared to TJ.nThey sell low-end stuff for exorbitant prices. I’m not paying $6 for a $3 pasta sauce.

The pandemic has given me time to travel the grocery stores and compliment them on their best features. Here, the deli excels. Courteous people that can really build a sandwich. They are a great place to shop for rare foods from rare suppliers. Always able to find a new product to try at Mollie Stone's. But, two more trips and i'll have to refinance my car for the next one.
