McAlpine Lake & Park

I seen all the negative reviews online never been to this place so I had to check it out myself for the first time I went over there this last weekend I went fishing had a great time caught some fish everyone around me was sketching fish everything was all good the staff was very friendly there was parking there was bathrooms available all over the lake was absolutely beautiful I'll definitely be going back there again to do some more fishing and some camping very very soon. This place was amazing it was relaxing and absolutely worth every penny.nnSincerely Mr. Hunter

It was my first time here and I thought the place looked cool. The place doesn't require a fishing license but you do have to pay for a pass which is $35 for adults and $25 for youth. I do like that there's a bait & tackle shop on the premise. There is fish in here, saw 3 bass chillin by the banks but sadly didn't catch anything today. There's bluegill, catfish, bass and trout. As for the report of my fishing trip here's what I got. For the entire day only one person out of 15 anglers caught a fish which was a good size trout.

What a wonderful place. It is really well maintained and clean. It was my 1st time here. I didn't catch any fish, but I have heard that others were catching a lot on the weekend. We came on a Monday to avoid the crowd and it is perfect- except for not catching any fish. I only give it 4 stars because of the price. I paid $60 for my Granddaughter and I. It looks like it would be a great place for picnics or camping.

This place was ok. The greatest part was the kind people and the very clean bathrooms. There is no swimming but fishing is great. Happy with our stay. No big bugs or crazy mosquitos and they gave two small cabins too. There is also a working toilet porter potty! Hilarious and a helpful. The grass is better in the front. The lake also has a fire pit and log seating to admire the scenery.

Nice spot to enjoy the outdoors and fish. Quality stocked trout. You may even hook into a nice catfish or sturgeon.
