Slow lines. Wait 30 minutes to get a lift ticket (2018). Overpriced food and beer (bring your own). The skiing is usually good though. (1 star)nn2019 update. Purchased tickets online and signed online waiver. Longer 45 minute wait. Online pick up is slower than buying day of. Extremely poor line management. They need automated ticket machines.nn2020 update. Tickets purchased online with new electronic delivery. No waiting in line! A great improvement. (moved up to a 4 star)nn2021 update: Visited twice. They have better line management with a single line feeding multiple windows. Great skiing. Well maintained. Some of the best built jumps I've seen at any hill with proper cadence and timing of a jump series. An excellent job of enforcing mask wearing in lines and indoors. 5 stars.
Collin provided outstanding customer service by aiding a novice skier that dropped a ski from the lift. his quick thinking and stopping the lift prevented a terrible time for the unfortunate guest. We love it here and return regularly thanks to fantastic staff interactions like what we saw with Collin as well as Sara on the 2 stop lift. Side note: social distancing and mask enforcement have been very good. would recommend skiing to all looking for a safe, fun, exciting mountain.
It was a wonderful experience for me and my friends who were all skiing for the first time. We took the lessons offered here at Granite Peak. Erin and Duncan were so patient for novices like us and made sure we had the best time learning skiing. Kudos to both of them and all the rest of the staff at rentals who were so helpful and courteous.nnLoved the experience and looking forward to be back very soon!
Learned to ski here on a long weekend. The vibe was excellent. Friendly staff. Shout out to my ski instructor Ben Really. He let me set the pace for the lesson and was an excellent teacher. I will definitely be going back regularly now. For spring skiing, the fake snow is good and well groomed throughout the day, but did get kind of icy once the sun went down. My much more experience brother said the black runs were good for the Midwest. Major recommend
This place is so great! All other ski resorts are very restrictive with rules and everything else. Here there is a great atmosphere where everyone can be happy while not getting yelled at 24/7. Terrain parks are located in the perfect spot where everyone on the chairlift can have a great view of the successes and some fails. Runs were in good condition with some ice towards the center of each run.nnOverall this place is just awesome! 3 fast lifts, acres of terrain and hills for every skill level. In addition Granite Peak felt like your were outwest skiing! Such a great place and I will definitely come back in the coming years!
