Marathon County Park

A large spaced out city park with multiple play grounds, walking trails, picnic areas, and camping grounds. No fires at the camp grounds. Not super wooded area but plenty of trees to make it feel not too middle of wausau. Outdoor Basketball courts as well.

Marathon park is a playground of pine trees in the midst of Wausau. It offers camping, recreational sports fields, bike/walking paths, playgrounds and shelter with grills included. A wonderful exposition of the woods in and around the area.

Peaceful and still alot of snow piles & maintenance stump grinding & picking up limbs and branches ! Looking good.

I go pokemoning at the park. A beautiful day and walking thru the park.

Lovely, shaded county park. Reservable or first come, first served sites. 2 50amp sites, otherwise all 30 amp. Water fill and dump station ($7 to dump) present. Some road noise during the day, but very quiet at night. Ample acreage to walk the dogs, ride bikes. Would easily be 5 stars if old picnic tables were replaced. (Did not use public restrooms)
