Bennington Battle Monument

This monument is huge!!! We weren't able to go inside but I guess you can. Something to do in the future. Nice to walk around and good for pictures.

Absolutely amazing! The history presented is very interesting.. supposedly you can take an elevator to the top. But when we went it was closed. probably because of covid. If you're in Bennington Vermont you must stop by. Even if it's for 10 minutes. You cannot miss it. the monument is visible over the trees no matter where you go. Have fun!!

The monument is very interesting, wish we could’ve gone inside but COVID just about ruined that for us. I’m not crazy about history but I do love seeing monuments in new states. This was very nice and photo worthy.

We were quite keen in ascending the obelisk during our trip to Bennington, however the 300 ft elevator to the heavens is closed for the season. Looking forward to return to the sky piercing marvel in May 2021 to ride the elevator into the stars!!!

It's a big monument. If you like monuments this is a good option. Very similar to the one in P-town on the Cape.nnWhat am I gonna do? Rate 2 stars for not being monument-y enough?
