Lakeside Campground

Great campground on Berlin Lake. Won't be disappointed

We went to look at a camper for my mother. We were directed to the camper and went the way we were shown. We never told to not go that way. There is a sign that apparently means no cars. BUT ITS THE SIZE OF A GIRL SCOUT COOKIE BOX AND ITS 6 FEET IN THE AIR. Needless to say, we never saw the sign. So. We went over the camper was nice, went to leave, find out the owner of the park came over and yelled at my sister about the way we came. They told her, we never saw a sign and the lady from the office pointed this way, so we thought we could come through here. Apparently they were rude and didn’t want to hear anything. So we go to leave. The woman from the office walks out and stands in the middle of the road and blocks the way out. I stopped, rolled down the window and she starts going off on me about how I told her boss to come this way and I must be stupid because there is a sign that states no cars come this way, also there was a f*** you and all kinds of words like that thrown at me. I tried to explain to her that her and the owners of the camper we were looking at were the only people we talked to, unless they talked to my sister. But I got her in trouble because I was stupid. Needless to say my mother will not buying the camper or ever stepping foot in the park again because that was completely uncalled for and completely unprofessional. Apparently they are also drunks who don’t really care about you unless it benefits them.

The water had a rotten egg smell. And how people stored their belongings made the beauty of the place go down.

This campground is one of the worst I have ever been too. The owner and husband are drunks and never enforce rules unless it benefits them. They let campers let their dogs roam freely and intimidate other campers and put other dogs at risk. Diane doesn't give you a contract but tries to confiscate your belongings. Truly an unsafe, unregulated campground. As before mentioned never enforces the rules unless she can try to steal your property. The campground has so many lots with tons of trash and campers that should be condemned. But rather than get rid of the trash and campers that are abandoned she chooses to just keep charging for the lot without any desire to improve campground. Her partners should put a stop to this but as of yet have not. A total NO STAR and complete trash campground. STAY AWAY!!!!

Needs some house cleaning. Many camp sites needed some cleaning up around them. It was the 1st week open that we were there so may be better now.
