If you are an out of state buyer, heed my advice and STAY AWAY. I had a deal in principle for a rare high end vehicle (all terms accepted, trade in pay-off confirmed, finance app submitted). I was slightly concerned after the salesman I was working with did not reach out to obtain my deposit (an amount was discussed, however, no phone call to obtain my information). I reached out to confirm that the deal was nearing completion. The response I received was stunning, after working on the deal for several days, submitting my personal information to the dealer, they sold the car to another party right out from Under me. Total disrespect; and no phone call apologizing for wasting my time. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership who values business and does the dirty work to get a deal done. I would leave ZERO stars if I could, the sales manager is a slippery snake..

Stopped at BMW of Middleburg Heights looking for a new vehicle and I’m not sure if we were the first to arrive; however, the sales person ignored us immediately helped another couple that arrived afterward. I won’t say it’s because we’re black and they were white. I won’t make that assumption. however, the whole dealership did not feel welcoming, especially not to a couple of color. Had we been helped, perhaps we would’ve purchased a new vehicle today (has cash in hand). I’m not out to ruin small businesses, so I won’t suggest people stay clear. I’m hoping your experience is different than ours and maybe they will get themselves together. I overheard the sales rep stated he was new today, so perhaps it’s a training or arrogance thing. Needless to say, the issue should be addressed. Also, the car selection is quite minimal, and the vehicles need better detailing. At least buff out the scuff marks.

I received a follow up call from Carl Whappley, service director BMW. ( Which I was honestly grateful) Regarding issues I had with service department, again my car was brought in for a simple recall, which did not give them the right to inspection on my vehicle. I told him that their inspections are merely scams to screw the general public, as they have their own hidden agenda.nOf course tried to defend my allegations..., as everything he said was scripted dialogue. He as well couldn’t have been anymore rude but add in: arrogant.nWhen I threatened with litigation, he told me go ahead and take your best shot as we have a full legal team at our disposal. Essentially he told me to go pound salt and taunted me.nnI hope this email finds you well, and unfortunately I was unable to find your general managers email address, which any event I insist that you pass this email along to him as you are anything but a man or the slightest bit of a gentleman.nI find it to be inconceivable that you would do any type of Maintenance-check on A vehicle that is 13 years old without the owners written consent and or request.nAny event as it was stated to you by my wife whom reached out to you weeks ago regarding an issue with my vehicle that was brought in for a simple recall  ... & no point we’re you ever authorized to do what you deem as an “inspection” of vehicle, giving you the right to pride and poke & obviously creating issues in doing so. It has been stated to you 1st by my wife that our vehicles now leaking oil which has never done in the past, as proof by our driveway as well as the oil level in the vehicle itself, I called you today and explain this as well, you took upon yourself to refute the issue stating that a video shows that this was an existing issue with the vehicle which obviously is not the case.nLet me just point out to you, this was an unauthorized inspection of my car, 2nd the video you sent wasn’t real time & was videoed after the fact of your so called finding .., after you took upon yourself to put my vehicle up on the left and poke around beneath it.nI assure I have zero reasons to lie to you regarding this oil leak that is now leaking like a sieve all over my driveway.nI also assured you that I will be in contact with my own personal attorney and I willinsist have your service records subpoena & find those You and your company have pulled the same unethical practices upon.nI will also be in contact with the attorney general, notifying them of your unscrupulous business practices when it comes to servicing clientele.nLastly you are on notice, unless you would prefer to address this matter and own up to what you have done, as I have stated more than once .. I have a 2 year old concrete pad that the Vehicle in question has been parked for the past year and a half without so much of spot of oil on it... I do not know where your snarky passive aggressive behavior would ever be acceptable in any profession.nSincerelynDavid B. Toensing
