Great smaller metro park. Perfect balance of convenient location and family friendly. Cute deck overlooking the water. I really enjoy that the paths are wood chip rather than paved. Covered and open picnic tables for whatever the weather.

This place was pretty great! I've never been there before but my photographer suggested this place for my maternity pictures! It was pretty nice out but my only complaint was all the construction they had going on, we weren't able to choose a lot of places to take photos at. Other than that I would definitely consider going again for photos or to just walk around! I haven't been inside so I'm not sure how that works but overall it was great!

One of my favorite parks in the city. Great playground for kids, 2 big fields, hiking, and lots of deer in the fall. Ideal for an inner city getaway!

Beautiful small park with woods, boardwalks by the creek, fields, playgrounds, and a mansion that looks like a castle. I especially recommend walking here in the spring when there is a months-long display of annuals blooming throughout the woods, often in large numbers, from snowdrops in the earliest spring to daffodils, bluebells, etc. The mansion is stunning for engagement or graduation type photos when the crabapple trees are in bloom. There is also the Jeffrey Wood festival in early march when downed wood is used for carving and to fuel the boiling down of maple syrup from the sap of maple trees tapped in the park.
