Talking about a true diamond hidden in the rough; or maybe just in plain sight and not taken advantage of. This guy completely helped me restore my car within seven days. Was on time and accurate with diagnostics. Upfront honest, good sense of humor and I will continue to visit this shop when necessary.

I took the recommendation of a friend and took my Subaru Forester to Thanos at Alban Auto Repair. (I have had that car in an out of more than one repair shop and spent thousands of dollars in the last 9 months. The final straw was when I had my battery replaced and they told me that I required more repairs at over $2,000.) I took my car to Alban, for a 2nd (really a 3rd) opinion, as well as to get an opinion on whether it was worth it to hang onto this car.nWithin 5 minutes of getting my car up, Thanos was able ton1.) Verify that the car did need additional workn2.) point out an obvious other issue that should have been apparent to anyone...even I could see it andn3.) Kindly let me know that it was probably time to retire my car.nHe went further to tell me what my car would be worth at auction, if he were to purchase it from me.nWhen I asked how much I owed him for checking the car out, he did not charge me a cent! Every time I took it to one of the other two places, I was charged a (pretty steep) diagnostics fee!nI thanked him and told him that I was going to look for a new car. He asked me what I was looking for and said he would keep his eyes out for me.nThe whole reason I had been going to the dealership is that I really needed the loaner car. As far as I'm concerned, if I need any work on my new car, I am likely to use Thanos. He was kind, pleasant, professional and NOT out to get my money. What a breath of fresh air!

Friendly man, locally owned, and quick turn around! I just showed up with what I was told by AutoZone was an alternator issue and he immediately diagnosed it as simply the battery (am obviously cheaper fix).
