Very well kept, can park at side of road. Usually stocked with information sheets. I live across the street from the other mound. I walk mound to mound everyday.
The Hartman mound is owned by the Hartman family. It is one of the few Native Adena Mounds that has not been excavated or disturbed. This mound is part of the Wolfe Plaines group and is on private property. I wish there was more historical information and I wish these sites were properly protected as a national heritage treasures.nThere are smaller mounds that are also on separate private property in various residential areas nearby. One bench and two plaques mark the spot.
It was nice too see.
Cool mound! Interesting that it has never been excavated before.
It's just so beautiful See and a big part of history so it is pretty awesome
