Randomly discovered Cranberry Lake Preserve on Google Maps yesterday while looking for a new place nearby to take an easy hike. Very happy that I found this place! The entrance is off of Old Orchard St and there is a small parking area as you enter and a few hundred yards further in, there is a larger parking area, a welcome center (currently closed because of covid) and portable bathrooms. The trails can be accessed from either parking area. There are a few hiking options, red being the longest but none are difficult. I saw people of all ages. My very pregnant girlfriend had no trouble with it. The trails are well maintained. The quarry was pretty cool and made a good place to stop for a break and food. Looking forward to coming back when everything is green again!
Great trail with two beautiful lakes. You can get lost easily so take a picture of the map right at the beginning of the trail. Also, save your parking spot on google maps. There is cell phone coverage so you can see your location at any point relative to where you parked. This along with the picture you saved should guide you in the right direction.
Great hiking trails! Wear appropriate footwear, bring water and grab a map on the way in. Make sure you see the quarry, climb to the top and if you bring snacks or lunch have a picnic and enjoy the view. Peaceful and beautiful!
Exceptional place, very relaxing. It has a moderate hike spots that was pretty nice. Its very family oriented and surely a place i can recommend to come and enjoy a picnic or evening out with friends. The cuary is beautiful and has 2 small ponds thats just so relaxing it sit and relax.
I will highly recommend this place . This place is amazing! Willing to come back another weekend. Enjoy this place guys ud83dude42
