Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture

The cafe and restaurant were closed when we visited. However, we had the chance to roam around the grounds. The property is gorgeous! Will definitely come back to visit the restaurant.

A place that makes simple truly fantastic. Food and trails are both amazing!

One meal at the restaurant, while desirable, would cover our monthly food budget (we cook at home and shop at TJ and Aldi's) but the little coffee and pastry shop is a wonderful place to visit on a walk through Rockefeller State Park. A lot of people seem to agree as the courtyard was packed on a sunny Saturday. We had a perfect cup of tea and enjoyed looking at the buildings and surrounding nature. A treasure and a place that does terrific things with food. Dog and kid friendly.

I can't comment on tours or paid admission events, but during the off-hours, we take our kids here to walk around. The farm is beautiful in its setting, well maintained, and picturesque to say the least. If you're driving through the area or simply need to refresh, the cafe has some outstanding baked goods and coffee.
