I love this park. Fun fact, the main playground with the big wooden play area is Discovery park and locals refer to the small little playground on the west side as Manila park. It has an amazing playground that is very family friendly, big enough for parents to take their little ones through. There is a track that goes around the entire park. A few tennis courts, 4 baseball fields, complete with concessions and restrooms, 3 or 4 pavilions and the big open area on north east side is used for soccer games. There is a lot of parking as well.
In my opinion what makes this park even cooler is that it was built by the community for the community, a lot of people donated time to help build this amazing place!
5 stars for everything a kid playground should be! Massive park for massive fun in this beloved fort that’s been given an update! Looks very similar to the original but with major improvements like soft padded flooring throughout, weatherproof materials, a bunch more climbing choices, all-abilities options especially with the swings, and sections made specifically for younger tots. Kids loved the volcano and playing “don’t touch the lava”, launching the spaceship (with real recordings), and the boat that can be rocked on for a pretend storm. Something here for everyone, and adults can have just as much fun especially if no one else is around on a rainy day!
This is an amazing park! Lots of skill level variety! Newly rebuilt and beautiful! It also has misters to cool you off. All of my kiddos love this park from 1 yr to 11 yrs. I get a kick out of climbing around and playing. I recommend paint hide and seek in the disk hours here 😁
Fun playground for kids. Tennis courts are good.
So much more attractive and kid friendly now it's rebuilt! The only con is that there are still plenty of places for kids to run out of sight within the playground -- not great for parents who want to sit and observe without losing sight of kiddos. If your kids are small, stay close by while they play. It's more fun that way anyway ;)
