Powerhouse Gym Nanuet

Great facilities and a great staff. Hardly ever have to wait for equipment, even during peak periods. Are they the only affordable gym that has figured out the correct ratio of cardio and weight training equipment? It very well could be the case. I've been a member for 5 months and it has been a blast.

Made the switch A Couple years ago when they first opened and has been an amazing experience there. Has all the weights, machines, and tools for your workout needs. Very competitive and dope atmosphere and people working out there will motivate you to even push yourself harder especially the ladies Go harder and push harder than us guys. Lol

Best gym in the area by far! As an avid lifter you really cannot go wrong with this place.

I would give Powerhouse negative stars if possible. Powerhouse reopened my account without my consent in August and used a credit on my account without my knowledge. They charged my frozen account a maintenance fee without sending a communication to me. We are supposed to be charged in June, but since the gym was closed for 5 months they moved it without informing members. They gave no maintenance discount even though there was nothing to maintain for 5 months. None of the staff knows what they are talking about. I called up to re-freeze my account before it unfroze. I spoke to 2 people from Powerhouse in the past 2 weeks. The first person told me my account would be frozen with no charge for 6 months. When I called the second time, I was told they could only freeze the account for 3 months and I will be charged $10 every month to keep it frozen. Then ABC Billing who bills for Powerhouse is telling me that I will be billed in December for a frozen account. In the agreement that I signed, it says nothing about frozen account fees. Besides the fact that employees are not on the same page, Powerhouse is un-empathetic to the situation the whole world is affected by. Because we are in a pandemic, it is the duty of a business to be understandable during a time like this and they are anything but that! Do not join this gym or you will be charged unknowingly and get hit with random fees. If you try to cancel your account, they make you pay for another month or they will keep your account open.

I go to the gym basically before everyone is even thinking about getting out of bed. I for one can say the gym is very clean and well maintained. I am happy I signed up here and plan to continue utilizing all the great machines available
