Some of the comments I read are essentially forms of bullying that go one everywhere. Whitesboro is no exception. No excuses, it should not exist. However, I found, at least in the 70's, that the place had decent academics (I was in both advanced science and math), and my chemistry teacher Peg Hassett was simply AWESOME. She came in dressed as a witch and did some really cool experiments, they are never done in school today. She sparked a lifelong interest in me with chemistry. Mr. Patterson was also quite good. OTOH, I had a physics teacher then who wasn't worth his weight in you know what. Tantrums at the students, some warranted, some not. My math teachers were also pretty good. At that time, Whitesboro was the leader in the area. Today it is probably New Hartford. I liked one PE teacher-- Coach Hawksley. He was very good. He gave everyone a chance. The others, well, not so. Of course, today, PE class is a joke, at least my impression of schools around the country (I work for the military and have been a lot of places). Eugene Dziedzicz (SS) was a trip, but a decent SS teacher. Pretty demanding. You had to earn his respect. Which is OK, I guess. If you plan on college, demanding is good. I got into science and engineering, so they must have done something right.

I have moved 17 times-5 different school districts...and this is the worst school I've ever been to. I swear everyone here is on drugs, lol. (Not kidding)

Great place to Supersize your brain. Good school, staff and especially students.

If I could give it zero stars, I would... The school sucks. If you're looking for a school with a bunch of basic and cruel people, this is the way to go next to New Hartford. Really not a fan... And I'm highly disappointed...
