Always a peaceful and reflective walk...and you meet the cutest puppies!
Great place for a walk with great views of nature and the coastline. Recent lumbering has left the trail a bit muddy, but also wider and level for safe walking. Watch for efforts being made to combat the ash borrer with good bugs.
After driving past the park many times, we decided to take a bike ride around the area and stopped at Buckhorn State Park. The wooded trails were between 8 to 12 ft wide in most places. When you get to a break in the trailand get to see the water's edge, it's a beautiful sight. We took the trail all the way to the northernmost tip of the island. At the time, I was thinking about how I never thought I would have been at that spot. So glad that I made the trip with the family.
A nice place for a quiet walk in the woods.
