Crate and Barrel

I love this store. The architecture and design of the space is so beautiful, with the large windows. It's like going to a museum of furniture and housewares. Unfortunately we don't need to buy anything because we have everything, but still it's fun to look. I also love the beautiful landscape design at the Americana during the warmer months- it's lovely to just walk around with the dachshunds. Update- I recently went over to look for furniture, and the furniture department, with the exception of Ed, seemed utterly confused and in a state of consternation. Terrible service, again except for Ed who is extremely competent. I went upstairs and was instantly encouraged by the excellent customer service there in the housewares area. So upstairs great, downstairs, not too good at the moment. Needs help with basic management and sales skills. I will not remove a star...

Sarah our design sales associate was so helpful and professional. She made us feel comfortable, never rushed or pushed us. She helped us design the perfect couch and explained everything. Crate and Barrel has amazing products but we highly recommend asking for Sarah

I couldn't find what I was looking for (replacements for a set) and the staff on the floor located my pieces. The one cup that they didn't have they shipped to my home free of charge. A nice but professional team.

Yesterday I went to the Manhasset Store. After browsing for about an hour, I approached Judith with a question about some bamboo bowls I’d seen on line. Judith found the bowls in stock! Happy for the find and that Judith offered to hold the box while I shopped, I found sever more items. Another clerk gave me a basket- after she sanitized it and I shopped some more. I was helped by yet another when I saw as a display item I wanted. Success again! When I was finally ready to pay, I met Judith at her register. She asked if my items were gifts and if I’d like them separately wrapped. Yes. Judith proceeded to carefully package my items with paper, boxes, bags and tags! She mentioned providing my email would grant me rewards. I was happy to because Judith was neither pushy or rushing to get me out of the way. Judith was pleasant, friendly and helpful. When I was all done , she called another rep to carry all my bags out to my car! (I was embarrassed and told Judith that I had no cash to tip the helper. She said, “it’s okay, that’s not why we do it.- I knew she meant it) Julian arrived within a minute. He was also kind and friendly. He accompanied me all the way to my car.nI don’t think I’ve ever had a more pleasurable shopping experience. Thank you, Judith, Julian and Crate Barrel! I am anxious to return!

Disappointing is an understatement. I placed a furniture order in late December only have the wrong couch delivered two months later. Now I'm being told that I'll have to wait for another two months.nnIf you want good customer service, try somewhere else.
