Pittsford Co-Op Nursery

My children loved this preschool! The environment is warm and nurturing and the teachers are great. The school has a great community feel and the family involvement is a nice touch! I highly recommend this preschool.

Pittsford Nursery School is such a special group of families and teachers. We had had experience in all the classrooms, and absolutely love the teachers and school!

The Pittsford Nursery School (a.k.a., PCNS) is an excellent preschool and transitional kindergarten. The teachers are warm, friendly, and sensitive to every child’s needs. In addition, the teachers are educational experts that create a safe and comfortable learning environment. Because the school is a cooperative, one or two parent volunteers are always in the classroom to assist. Having the opportunity to occasionally volunteer provides us a comprehensive understanding of the classroom activities and allows us to connect with our children on an even higher level. Our children love going to this school; we highly recommend it!!

I chose to send my son here after a friend's glowing recommendation and talking with the director, and I've loved everything! The teachers are all friendly and so child-focused. They have put together wonderful programs and activities, as well as a caring and safe environment. My son is usually a crier when I leave him places, but he never cries going to school. He says it's his favorite part of the day!nnAs a parent, I enjoy being able to help out in the classroom occasionally and see first-hand what the kids are doing, as well as how gentle and warm the teachers are. They play the whole time but learn so much along the way. The activity room with the climbers, bikes, and gross motor play is a huge asset. Another huge draw is that they promote healthy snacks - no cookies, cupcakes, etc.nnI'm so happy with PCNS that I decided to continue my son in their program instead of switching him to the school my daughter went to right next to our street. It's worth the extra few minutes in the car.

We love PCNS! The teachers are so warm and positive and they always have so many fun activities planned for the kids. Every time I work in the classroom I see so many learning opportunities. We feel so fortunate that our son has such amazing teachers. Also, the director is so sweet, thoughtful, and helpful!
