River Forest Park Campground

Just signed up for a seasonal site. We have been camping here off and on for years. After camping at other campgrounds, we decided to make this our permanent summer home & get away. The big attraction for us was that the kids loved here and with a bar that has bands on the weekends, we loved it here too! The people here are very friendly and the owners and staff obviously work very hard to keep everyone happy. Might have to buy a boat now too so we can enjoy the river as well. Highly recommend this place

Great place for camping, swimming, socializing and great restaurant in camp grounds.

I think this is one of the better campgrounds we've been to, its HUGE for starters and all of the campers are very friendly. We used the pool and had no complaints it was very refreshing and clean on a hot August day. We really enjoyed having the on site restaurant so we didn't have to cook (Corrados highly recommend) the waterfront is beautiful it was very nice to be able to sit outside our rv and just watch people enjoy the water. We for sure will be making a stop back here in the future! Thank you for having us!

The camping park is way over crowded. Campers are less than 10ft apart. Over 200 camp sites and only 2 bathroom locations. Pool deck cement is mostly very uneven. Safety concerns. Water and electric hook ups are not conveniently located for the weekend campers. They seem to cater to the permanent site people. The river sites flood every spring leaving many sites muddy. ud83eudd14

I want to start by saying I have camped at this campground for many years with my children I have never had an issue but on Father’s Day weekend 2020 was my last day ever there. We paid $200.00 to camp for 3 days with our 3 year old American bulldog who was definitely my child we were hooked to 30 amp service went on our boat for 4 hours to come back to my deceased baby because their 30 amp service stopped forcing air into my camper so if you have animals becareful, then to have the manager look at a grieving mother and say” what do you want me to do” are you kidding me
