To the owner & staff at Matthews Chevrolet, Vestal, NY,nYour company has lost me as a loyal, financially responsible and frequent car customer.nBecause I feel as if I have been lied to by your service department and not just once either.nnUpon going to Matthews Auto Group in Vestal, NY, for a routine yearly inspection, I was told by the service department manager on May 31 2017 at approximately 9: 30 AM (not posting his name), that my lower control arm bushings were torn on both right and left front sides on my 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid. Also the trans cooler lines was also noted as 'leaking'. This was going to cost me a grand total of $1860.00 with parts, labor and taxes. Oh and again my windshield wipers were replaced or it wouldn't pass inspection apparently, costing me $32.00 which is a hardship for me! I have only done gentle driving with my car and approximately 600 miles in one full year (check my mileage). I felt that this car diagnosis was incorrect and bogus so I took my car to another GM certified dealership and without mentioning what Matthews had found asked them to do a total diagnostic on my car. That dealership, which has an excellent reputation and has been in business for over 35 years DID NOT find ANY thing wrong with the lower control arm bushings! In fact I had a third mechanic take a look at the spot that the Matthews mechanic had pointed out to me and the 25 year master mechanic did not find any problems with the lower control arms. You tell me how you would feel! To date I am undecided as to what legal action or public path I will take on this. I have considered going to the news station to report Matthews as a place of business that 'Pads' its pockets with unknowledgeable, unsuspecting, loyal and possibly more times than not, woman customers. I think it is time for a change in this world and honesty with companies like Matthews Auto Group should be the policy not thievery. Ruth Riley

Customer service member named jenn, was very persistent with my concerns and questions being relayed to the mechanic..and also answering all my questions to the best of her knowledge!!!!

Our lease on our 2018 Chevy Traverse was ending and our Salesperson, Nick DeSisto, did a wonderful job walking us through all of our options. He helped us make not only the best financial decision but the best decision for our family.
