Cafe Monocle

I have been here several times, and each and every time was fabulous. I was there on Sunday, the 14th, for brunch and had the best waiter in the world (but they are all good), Rock, he was fabulous and definitely an asset to Cafe Monocle. I love everything about this restaurant, and have reservations for Easter as well

Reservations at 7 on a Saturday night, seated and waited nearly a half hour before getting a menu or asked for a drink order. Several other guests walking out as well having waited two hours for appetizers to be served. Though the drinks are good and atmosphere is nice I would not recommend this restaurant unless you have A LOT of time on your hands. After two hours we got the food as we were paying the check...the burgers were packaged to go and were lackluster to say the least. The prosciutto wrapped burger was not wrapped at all and the candied bacon on the other burger was not even cooked, straight raw. Though we strive to give our patronage to locally owned small businesses, this place is an abomination, service wise, and needs vast improvements in order to survive in such a competitive environment. We really wanted to love it.

It's great to see a new business open in Cohoes. But in this case, the building should have stayed empty! Rude employees! Pompous Food and Drinks that aren't worth the high prices! If this place EVER hopes to succeed, they MUST get to their neighbors better!

Ordered a Door dash at 8:45 at 9:30 they called and said the kitchen was closed. The Restaurant didn’t even call door Dash did the driver after a second driver went to get the food. Absolutely horrible customer service considering the app says open until 10. Maybe the restaurant should actually have an idea and communicate with customers and other service providers that they use.

Walked in here on a Saturday at 530, staff barely said hello. They mentioned no seating in the dining area which was completely understandable considering COVID regulations and reduced capacity. 2 of us went to the bar waiting on a 3rd, not one bartender it appeared out of the 3 could even say hello or ask us what we’d like to drink or menu. Left and will never go back. This is cohoes, not NYC.
