Big Apple Pizzeria

Great place and staff. Good pizza but don’t get the individual slices, they don’t taste fresh depending on the day. The deep fried Mac and cheese balls are a fave in this household. Highly recommend the wings as well, dripping in sauce which is great.

Staff is nice and they’re open till like 3am. They be leaving there doors open late too if you want pickup. The pizza is pretty good too. Maybe it’s bc of the pandemic but everyone has been closing early but they are still open to serve you.

Disgrace isn’t even the word I’d use to describe this pizza. I am ashamed that Rensselaer county has let this restaurant stay open. The pizza is lacking of flavors in so many different ways. I’ve had microwaved pizza at movie theaters that have tasted better then this. I’ve ordered from “big” apples 4 times now, each and every time it has been worse and worse. The sauce taste sour. The dough taste burnt, but oddly undercooked and a bitter chewy dough in the middle. When I tell you they most likely don’t date there cheese I’m not being sarcastic don’t ever order from “Big” Apples. And when I put quotes the pizza is over priced, I get it $14.99 for a good pizza with high quality ingredients should be $14.99 for a large but the toppings and even dough taste weeks old. My last order which I placed today online which says “Hoosick pizza” not “big apples” I payed $35 for a chicken bacon ranch with extra chicken and cheese that I did not receive. I later then call the restaurant being polite and the employee Alyssa says there is no order and there’s nothing she can do, I simply politely asked if she could track my order number that I gave her 9 times. And she said she doesn’t know how. Train your employees. Get better ingredients. And grow up @Big Apples. Your pizza sucks.

Awesomely delicious pizza. The crust is simply divine! A must visit!

Every pizza can be judged by the crust to cheese to sauce ratio, and the quality of each of these components. Not really sure where Big Apple Pizzeria lies in terms of quality, the pizza didn't taste extraordinary, just average. The crust was very good, not too crunchy or soggy and the perfect flavor. On the other hand, the cheese and sauce were whatever. The ratios were all off on the cheese slices we had. It had alot of cheese, but very little sauce. Some people like alot of cheese; I don't know why because it takes away from the flavors of the pizza. For me, it was too much, and I couldn't taste any sweetness or tanginess. All I tasted was a ton of cheese and some dry crust. The slice lacked flavor, this place needs to cut back on the cheese and add more sauce so you taste the sauce component. Three stars because it was just average and each slice was $2.50.
