It's a lovely park to take a walk in. Also very good for picnicking and just relaxing. There's a enjoyable mixture of urban and natural scenery. I love having this park in my neighborhood. Keep in mind that it effectively extends across the river into Kentucky. It's part of a very extensive network of walking and bicycling trails that link multiple river front parks, neighborhoods, and venues through the cities of Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport. It's eventually supposed to also link Dayton & Belvue to the east, and extend to Devou Park in the west. Pedestrian traffic is fine across the Roebling, Taylor-Southgate, Veterans, and Purple People bridges; so crossing the Ohio & Licking rivers on foot or bike is very easy and pleasent.
Defintley worth a stop if you are in Cincinnati
Such a great park to take in the Cincinnati and Kentucky scenery along the Ohio river. They did such a good job beautifying this prime area to be enjoyed by families. It has a fun playground that's safe and incorporates elements of nature with rocks to climb around the slides and a log climbing feature. The landscaping and trees and trails are so relaxing. We always love doing the swings overlooking the river and Kentucky side.
This park is a really cool park! It has a whole bunch of interesting things to see and do. The labyrinth was really nice, as was the interactive miniature waterscape, and the paddle boat hall of fame. A must see for people who like neat things, and to go for a walk.
The city has done an outstanding job of turning a wasteland into a gem. The plantings are impressive. Walk through you get ideas for your garden. It's also family friendly with lots of activities for kids. Bring a blanket and a picnic. You will have a great time.
