Drove here from south Jersey only to find it was closed. Bummer. Looks really well maintained. Speedwell Lake was open, just across the street, but parking was atrocious.

I love the history in this place. A photographer’s playground or a good place for a photowalk. I walked around snapping shots with my daughter and she enjoyed the walk. Whether taking pictures or just taking a walk, this is a neat place. It’s one of the more interesting places in NJ. Also, notable that it seems to be apart of a National Historic Park. I love National Historic Parks.

Absolutely fantastic! Interactive, exciting, extremely well restored and the guided tour was simply phenomenal. I never expected to stumble upon such a gem of a museum/historic-site here, thank you very much for today's early afternoon of knowledge and fun facts and for all the answers to our questions. Time well spent! Highly recommended.

The volunteers Staffing the buildings were very knowledgeable and very friendly. The gentleman who described the procedures for Manning the Cannons was extremely knowledgeable almost like an encyclopedia. The Civil War reenactment was well done.

Great place to bring your family on a nice day! Staff is friendly and the buildings there are old but in good condition. Very historic and very nice.
