Rook Coffee

The best coffee shop ever! The service is excellent. My order is always perfect. Also they use premium ingredients that are healthy and environmentally friendly. This place is amazing. My favorite summer beverage is the New Orleans Iced. I highly recommend this place.

I absolutely love Rook Coffee and I have been going here for years, which is why I’m so disappointed I’m writing this. Right before quarantine, I came in to order my coffee like usual and one of the young women screamed at me in front of the entire coffee shop demanding that I step out of the building until I order on the app. When I told her I had already done so, she rudely asked for my name, then handed me my coffee. I figured she was just under a lot of stress, so I didn’t think much of it. Then, sometime over the summer a similar occurrence happened yet again. I once again figured it was just a stressful day. This happened three more times and I just don’t feel welcomed anymore. I’m sure a lot of the staff would never do such a thing but unfortunately a few bad apples ruin the experience I suppose. There’s nothing like a Rook, but I just hate being treated so poorly.

I am sorry to write this, but the taste is not always the same. One day I get the best taste and the other day I get the worst taste like nothing. Its like I flip a coin. The best taste of Rook makes me keeping going, but I am sometimes very disappointed.

Never go to Toluca Lake without stopping at my favorite coffee spot. Best place to sit with friends and have the Snicker- Doodle latte', nothing better. Great people, great location, great coffee.
