They said the basket ball gym was going to be opened in a week but it been 3 months. The club promised that it would become a 24 hour gym 3 months ago, but that never happened. Then they have the nerve to charge an extra 30 dollars annual fee for enhancements when there has been none.nnEdit: this was awhile ago and they have improved their customer service

I heard Powerhouse was reopening on September 1, 2020. Oh great, I thought, now I have no excuse not to work out, lol. But seriously, since March 16, I've had no real desire to exercise and always wondered if I WOULD go back to the gym, and I had been exercising faithfully 6 days a week for 2 plus years. I checked it out on Friday, Sept 4. Here's the deal: 1, you must read and sign a waiver about COVID-19. 2, facemasks must be worn in gym. 3, check-in and check-out required to monitor amount of people in gym, (25% of 500 max capacity is 125 people allowed in gym). 4, your temperature is taken upon arrival. 5, machines are spaced apart and some have signs on them stating that they are not to be used in order to maintain social distancing. 6, members are to sanitize equipment before and after use. Sanitizer and disinfectant are available. 7, lockers are socially distanced and showers are out of use. 8, no food is to be consumed on gym premises.nnIt went smoother than I expected.nIt's the same, good quality gym it's always been.nEveryone I saw was in compliance to the new rules.nI saw a Spin class being held outside.nI used weights while there, Saturday morning at 6:00 AM, and despite the mask being a bit cumbersome to breathing, especially towards the end of my workout, it wasn't so bad. I'm glad I went and will continue to go regularly. I feel it's a small sacrifice to make for being healthy and fit and to be safe and keep others safe.nBe safe, You can do this!

Best Gym in new jesrsey! For so many reasons! Big Wes and the rest of the staff are not just friendly, but knowledgable and kind!! Makes me feel like I'm part of a family training here! The gym's clean, the equipment is top of the line and I'm a member of powerhouse old bridge for life!

I've never heard of a gym with a 3-year contract. Every time I tell someone, they're in disbelief. When I first signed up, they sold this to me as the ONLY option. I was naive and did it. I moved to a different town, and I'm 30 minutes away, and I can't cancel. Other than that, the staff is friendly and helpful I guess.

EDITED REVIEW:nnThere was a massive misunderstanding which I personally take accountability for. Times are tough, and even though the General Manager, Andrea, was not available to speak to on the phone or in person due to the circumstances of their post-Covid reopening, she was very professional, reasonable and empathetic in her reply to my email to address my billing concerns surprisingly within hours of me emailing to reach out to her.nnThis gym was always good to me when I was active pre-Covid, the vibe, amenities, service and culture was always amazing and let's be honest, those are the reasons many of us go to work out in public rather than our basements to begin with. When I feel safe to return to a public gym, Powerhouse in Old Bridge will be the only gym experience ill be looking forward to.nnThank you Andrea!
