Gennaro's Italian Restaurant & Tomato Pies

Horrible. I've waited 2 or 3 times ordering before I left a bad review for this restaurant. I want to love it but I just can't. As noted in previous reviews the vegetables and potatoes are hard as a rock. Unseasoned and tasteless. I asked for the chicken parm to be pounded down thin it was not. It was swimming in too much sauce and barely any cheese. The chicken was so tough to even cut and it was even worse to try to chew. It was cold, even though I literally ordered it from the parking lot. It was noted in many other reviews about the chicken and I guess they just don't care. You can't blame it on Covid because they have been doing this way too long and the quality of the food has really gone down hill. I'm wondering if they have a new manager or new cooks because the food used to be very good. I leave good tips. I order a lot from them but I am not going to waste anymore money on bad food I'm done. Wow, our family has ordered pizzas from genaros before always great and delicious! But tonight me and my wife ordered a Turkey hoagie, and a california chicken sandwich and hands down the california chicken sandwich may be the greatest sandwich I've ever had in my life!! We order out alot! And in all honesty that was the greatest sandwich I have ever tasted!! Please try it you will not be unhappy!!!

Food wasn't great. Chicken was over cooked and rubbery. Vegetables were hardly cooked and some of the potatoes were cut and seasoned and some were not. Wait staff was attentive, but I would not go back and order an entree.

Nice menu... tasty food... reasonable prices...
