Air-Mods Flight Academy

My wife got me the three flight package for my birthday and I could not recommend Air-Mods more! The staff is super friendly, helpful and welcoming, my instructor Chad was awesome, and the experience was an absolute BLAST! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to take flight lessons, or even wanting to just take a discovery flight and experience the joy of flight!

So today was my first time visiting this business . I was scheduled for a discovery flight with one of the instructors who's name was Johnny. Let me say what an amazing time I had flying around New york!! Never flew a plane in my life until today and it was the most amazing thing ever. I seen the greatest sights and had the most amazing time flying around... Definitely recommend doing a discovery flight if you want to fly a plane and see some sights. Johnny was very professional and very nice and made me feel super comfortable flying the plane and definitely taught me some things along the way . I definitely would recommend this business all the employees are very friendly and very professional. The owner is doing a very good job on running this business and will definitely use again in the future.

Nice academy, price is fair. Staff is amazing and friendly. Instructors are very knowledgeable and available to fly pretty much any day any schedule. A/C are well maintained. Highly recommended

I am a long time pilot from Air-Mods and I frequently use their rental Mooney. I had been out of currency for almost a year and went up with a new instructor, Gretchen, for a quick refamiliarization flight. She was great! She was as good as my original Mooney instructor Matt (aka Schmidtty). Gretchen definitely got me back up to speed and flying quick! If you want to fly the Mooney, fly with her!

Awesome, low key place to learn how to fly. Had to pause my training 8 years ago due to a health scare, came back this spring and most of the same people are here! Join the Mercer Flying Club too!!
