Cool place to visit! Finally got the chance to go up vessel and loved it! Great for photos and the Christmas lights are so pretty at Hudson yards, especially the hot air balloon theme! The tickets are free to go up but they go quickly so check online a couple of weeks ahead to reserve your time before you visit! They limit the number of people now so it's very spacious and good for pictures! I think they let around 30 people in for each time slot (could be less, not sure). They don't limit how long you stay inside. I got a little dizzy walking up but the views are so worth it! I'd go back again the the morning in the future! Happy holidays and stay safe!!!
I have to say: As controversial as the construction of Hudson Yards and this Vessel has been to many New Yorkers, that's how interesting of a place it is and I'm glad they built it. Aside from the nearby Jacob Javitz Center, this area of NYC was pretty much dead. And, this aided and added to its revival. The Vessel is also a very interesting and artistically-inclined structure. Once on top of it, it also provided very cool views. And the Vessel itself is a cool view from the ground, as well. I definitely recommend visiting it!
The attraction itself is very organized and is situated next to other attractions. Staff are very friendly. However, the attraction itself is nothing to write home about. It is a great photo op and visually appealing but otherwise it is a twenty minute stop in your day in New York City. The view at the top is not particularly anything memorable either. This is simply a nice photo backdrop and if you are spending the day in NYC, plan more things along with this.
Amazing. Magnificent. Modern. Sleek.nFrom the top you see Hudson Yard park side and bayfront. Inside the vessel you feel yourself like in a big vase. The stairs with balconies take you to the top, level by level you come closer to the sky. Interesting experience of a small man in a big glass & iron jungle of New York. Definitely visit again.
If you want a place to visit to chat and relax.nThen, I would visit the Vessel. The Vessel is an outstanding bronze architecture. It’s a sight to behold. I remember seeing the Vessel on tv. I didn’t think it was attractive. However, in person. The bronze beauty won me over. If you go at the right time in the day, you will see the sun shining in it’s glory. And you will see the sun elegantly setting in the evening. The area is well-kept and not noisy. There is no entrance into the Vessel this year. The luxury shopping mall is a few steps away. There are tables and chairs behind the Vessel if you want to sit and eat / relax. I took greats pics and videos. It’s a must see!
