Teddy’s Place

My favorite gyro place in Manhattan closed & this is the closest to it that I’ve tried. The food we’ve tried so far has been tasty. Recently tried their spicy feta dip- it was pretty good!

Amazing gyros platters and greek salads. I'm new to town and i was recommended this place by a few public employees in town. I ordered for delivery and the young lady was a little rude but i figured she was overwhelmed and busy. When I received my order it was wrong. I called back and she tried to tell me it was right. I was upset but just let it be because they were closing and kitchen was closed already. This is where I was redeemed.... Two minutes later the manager/owner called to apologize. I'm assuming he overhead the convo. He was very sincere and genuine and i truly respected him going out his way to make things right. The next time I ordered they made sure to make things right for the first time around. I will keep ordering from this place. The grape leaves are amazing and the owners are great hearted.

Very good! I had just moved to Jersey City, and couldn’t find a Mediterranean spot until I found this one and I was not disappointed. This will definitely be my go to place for now on!!

Just not the same. I assume perhaps when you’re busy, you stop caring? Or just don’t pay attention. I’ve ordered several times, and the only thing consistent is how inconsistent the quality of food has become. The white sauce taste sour, and is either super creamy or runny. The lettuce on a gyro is wilted, amongst cold fries being delivered. The taste and quality is not the same since Pete exited the business. The staff in the front holds 0 professionalism when the current owner is not present, nor do they care in regards to discrepancies. Teddys was once my favorite place, it just seems like no one cares, and it reflects in the food.

I go to Teddy once a week for Gyro meat for my salad. There Is a young lady at the counter she can be nasty. She charges me every time for a sauce, when the owner gives it to me. practically everytime. Place always clean, food good
