Used Mr. Bolotsky for many years without a problem. This in 2020 sold a two family home. Tax preparation done in February. Mr. Bolotsky said he would not file until due date as I owe this year. Not only did he make an error and file early he was rude unprofessional and dismissive and sarcastic when I brought the error to his attention. Even after over a decade of my business. That alone screams unprofessionilsm..

In 2016 I used Mr. Bolotsky and again in 2017 during a very difficult divorce, which he ended up aware of since he had to deal with both my ex and I. This year I made an appt with Craig on 1/31/2020 for 2/9/2020. I cancelled this appt on 2/7/2020 because my dog got diagnosed with grade 3 cancer and Needed immediate surgery. He confirmed my cancellation email and said to let him know when I’d like to reschedule. I never contacted back to reschedule since I now needed money for surgery and chemo. On May 2, 2020 Mr. Bolotsky emailed me Indicating he wanted to ‘finish my taxes’ and when I told him Im sorry I ended up using turbo tax, he told me I should at least pay him half of his $275 fee for the ‘courtesy and Input’. Upon my apology for not letting him know I filed on my own and an explanation of why I couldn’t use him anymore ($), I told him I did not think I owed anything as he did no actual work for me or offered me no advice. He merely scheduled me for an appt which I cancelled timely. This is an excerpt of his (unprofessional) response when he realized I wouldn’t be sending a check:n“...I am sorry to hear of your hurdles and struggles in life, I do know when you don't cancel your appointment with your doctors you get charged... my calendar was blocked out for you and 3x it changed. Bolotsky, CPA”nnI made ONE appt and cancelled 2 days prior. This is the most unprofessional human being and he clearly feels a certain way about women. Don’t use him!
