A good, thin crust pizza. The specialty pizzas are the best. The drunken Grandma is my favorite. Called Forte's for 3 plain slices to go. The counter person said they don't do single pizza orders on the phone. I have to come in to place the order... Tony D's took my order and said it will be ready in 10 min. Where do you think I will be going for all my pizzas from now on?

Tony D's came highly recommended from the legendary pizza aficionado Pete Geneovese of NJ.com. His recommendations have never steered me wrong and Tony D's is another example of that. Tony D's is a hidden gem hole in the wall. The popular pick is the drunken grandma pie and I can see why. It's greasy, cheesy, and delicious. The crunchy, crisp crust has a great structure and the juicy tomatoes combine with the delicious vodka sauce to create an explosion of flavor. It's no wonder how this spot consistently makes the NJ top-ten pizzerias.

Extremely thin crust, surprisingly light, a staple family favorite. We find their pepperoni and buffalo chicken the best flavors they have. We don’t completely understand where all the raving comes from regarding these drunken grandmas, uncle’s best friend’s nephew or other family related names of topics and styles that fall a bit flat, but to each their own. Warning.... the wait on weekends are long. expect one hour.... even if you’re told 40 minutes. But worth it!
