Ruthie's Bar-B-Q & Pizza

This is really the last time I order from Ruthie's. After months of ordering with home delivery, I was blacklisted one evening because the person on the phone forgot to tell me that they weren't delivering that evening but that I had to come and pick up my order. I went to explain this to the owner and was allowed to order deliveries again. And then tonight. Two items are missing from the delivery bag. One that was totally forgotten and not billed and another billed but missing in the bag. Instead, apologize and correct the mistake. They explain to me that I have never ordered beans... And for the Mac and Cheeze ... well I'm cooking pasta at home.

Ruthy’s BBq is on the money won’t disappoint. Very friendly, I had brisket platter and it was delicious. It was juicy meaty with big jumbo fries & their Mac & cheese is also delicious.

Such a shame. This place was so good, but now, 2.5 hours after I placed my order, still no food. And every time we called (3 times) there was a new excuse. First, was the “he’s already out” reason; second, “new delivery driver. He just came back to pick up orders”; third, “if you come pick it up it’ll be 5 mins, otherwise another 30”. WHAT?! They couldn’t even be consistent with their lie. Mind you, I live in town.nnThe food is definitely not worth an over 2.5 hour wait, nor is it worth the terrible customer service. Bye, Ruthie’s. Will not be eating here or recommending it to anyone anymore.

I love Ruthie's pizza and smoked fish cake over salad. I'm dreaming of the day when I can sit outside again and hear music on a summer evening at Ruthie's. Until then, I have to be contented with getting the food to go and bringing the vibe and the good taste home!

So grateful Ruthie's is open during the pandemic and for outdoor dining. We had a pizza and salads by the fire, brought beers and then made s'mores provided by the restaurant. I'd put the Goat pizza we had up against the best in NJ. This place is a local treasure.
