I never meet a lawyer that I would have to chase for answers and progress. He mentioned that he would call back and never did plus forgot what my case was about. I would rather be told “sorry were overwhelmed” than to take my retainer just to pay bills and not produce communication or results.

I fed exed a retainer in good faith on 10/2/2014 being that Joe was my sisters lawyer. She passed away on 11/1/2013 and as of this date 8/15/2015 nothing has happened. Many emails, several phone calls and many texts, still nothing. I even asked for my money back. That did not happen either. I live in Florida, or I would be at his office. $3500 spent and I have nothing to show for it and it is an insult to the passing of my sister.nnUPDATE 6/29/2017nnStill have yet to hear any response from Joe, even after sending multiple forms of correspondence including certified mail which he never signed for. He kept all of my retainer fee and never produced any results. Never hire this man for anything; he is a crook who deserves to be disbarred!

In 2001, I retained Joseph Fornunato, when I separated from my ex-husband. This was a very expensive mistake. Law is not law when you don't have the right attorney for your situation. A bankruptcy attorney is not a family attorney, like he lead me to believe.nnThis attorney knows nothing about Family Law! It took 6 months - 20k and this guy had managed to send a 100 letters back in forth my ex's attorney; of course we where no closer to a property settlement. But we had argued through our attorneys about stuff that meant nothing in court.nnBeing an attorney he should have told us NJ is a no fault and moved to the property settlement and custody order. I had to retain a second attorney and spend another 10k to get a simple divorce with no assets and 1 kid.
